ASHLEY & KY - A WALCOT HALL WEDDING
Sometimes things are just meant to be....... like photographing Ashley & Ky's wedding. Whilst I was sorting some prints out in a shop, I got talking to Ashley's Mum, she mentioned her daughter was looking for a photographer. She said the wedding was in Shropshire and asked if I was willing to travel, which of course I was. She passed my details on to Ashley & Ky, we met up, they loved my work and there you go, I was booked.
Walcot Hall where the wedding took place is such an amazing venue.
The former home to Lord Clive of India. The mansion house sits in a beautiful estate, which houses the most fabulous turquoise ballroom where the wedding breakfast and dancing takes place. There is even a rustic tin chapel in the grounds where most people go for photos. Why not! It makes a fabulous backdrop as you will see.
I arrived having shot a wedding the previous day in Soughton Hall near Mold, two stunning venues one after the other, how good was this going to be?
Having started off with some prep shots for the girls and boys, I then moved on to the ceremony, which was held outdoors by the fountain, it doesn't get much better really. After the wonderful musical ceremony, guests and family wandered over to the stunning inner courtyard for drinks and photos before Ashley & Ky headed off around the grounds for a walk and a few photos along the way. We just had to stop by the old tin chapel for a few shots, it would have been rude not too. It was then on to the wedding breakfast in the ballroom, followed by speeches and a few more photos before the party really got started. What a fabulous end to a couple of days of shooting weddings. I love my job.
Please scroll down and enjoy the day as it unfolds.
