KATY & JONNY
A NANT GWRTHEYRN WEDDING
Katy and Jonny got married.......and wow, what a day.
This amazing couple got married at Nant Gwrtheyrn, a former quarrying village. It is nestled in a hollow between the mountains and the sea, it is such a stunning backdrop for a wedding, complete with it's own chapel. As I dropped into the village the sun was just creeping up over the mountains and starting to light up the village. It was going to be a stunning day and the perfect place for a wedding.
I caught up with Katy for a few photos as she was getting ready with the girls, she was slightly nervous but there were plenty of smiles going around so all good. Before the main event I popped over to see Jonny to get a few shots of him and the boys getting ready.
The little chapel was packed with smiling faces as Katy arrived. The ceremony by Marcus was brilliant and super funny as always, he really is the best minister you will ever have, he had the guests in stitches at one point. They both walked out smiling into the sunshine to carry on the day down at the reception hall overlooking the sea.
After a few group shots and an impromptu walk in the field by the bride and groom, which was brilliant, everyone settled down for some food and speeches.
As the evening light softened, we headed out for a few wedding party shots before Katy and Jonny went for a lovely stroll down to the beach for a few more photos. Joined by their dog Sid, who was urmm.....mostly well behaved.
The evening party was kicked off with a ceilidh dance which got everyone up and swinging which set the mood for the rest of the night.
Such a great day with lovely happy people.
Here is just a snippet of such a fun day, please scroll down and watch the day as it unfolds.
