MARI & GLYN - Dinorwig quarry pre-wedding shoot.
Mari & Glyn are getting married this weekend and are having their reception in the wonderfully quaint and colourful village of Portmeirion. Before the wedding they wanted to do a pre-wedding shoot in the slate quarries in Dinorwig, they both love the place and Glyn has done many amazing paintings of this stunning derelict old quarry, I have a slight love affair with this place and couldn't believe my luck when they asked to do it there.
It may not be as colourful as Portmeirion but it really does have a charm of its own, and while Snowdon on the other side of the valley was cloaked in cloud, we really lucked out and were bathed in glorious morning sunshine. We had a little wander around one of the levels with old buildings, dark tunnels and sheer cliff faces. The view from up there is just awesome. What a fabulous shoot with a stunning couple who both share a passion for the quarries, they were so relaxed and we had so much fun. looking forward to the wedding now. Please scroll down and enjoy.
