When a wedding takes place in and around the most beautiful landmarks of a city, then you know it's going to be a good day. This wedding had it all, a ceremony in a beautiful cathedral, followed by a walk along an old pier and a reception in a university. Sian and Andrew got married in the city of Bangor and what a fabulous day it was.
I started the day photographing the girls at Sian's parents’ house in Llanfairfechan, there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and I had a great time. Then I headed off to the stunning Bangor Cathedral, it is such a beautiful building and just amazing for weddings. I caught up with Andrew and the rest of the boys for a few shots before leaving him to greet his family and friends, before the arrival of Sian. The Cathedral is so big, there is so much space to move around and get shots whilst still being discreet. Sian and Andrew's ceremony was so nice, punctuated with amazing singing from friends, which brought the whole cathedral to life. After the ceremony, and whilst family and friends went off to the reception, Sian and Andrew headed to Bangor pier for a lovely walk and a few photos. The reception was being held in the University of Bangor, such fantastic venue. The weather was great so everyone was outside enjoying a drink or two. I love shooting here, so many places to get good shots from. After the group shots and food was all done, it was time for the speeches, which were so funny. We then headed off around the grounds for a few more shots before the dancing started. Scroll down to enjoy the day as it unfolds.

Wow........ What a great time I had at Louise and Tom's wedding, such a wonderful day with beautiful people. The weather turned out nice too, dry and warm with plenty of sunshine. I started the day at the house with the girls, getting some prep shots, it was smiles all round with lots of laughter. Then I headed off to meet up with Tom and the boys at the church for a few shots before the guests arrived and it was time for the main event. The church in Llandegfan is so lovely, and even more so when you go inside. After a perfect service, it was back out into the sunshine, for a few group shots and of course some confetti throwing. It was then off to Menai Bridge for some shots along the Belgian Prom and under the bridge itself. Once we were done there, we headed off to Bangor University for the reception. I have shot plenty of weddings here, I love it every time, it has such character and the photo possibilities are just endless. We did a few more group shots before everyone sat down for food, which was followed by some funny and also very emotional speeches. After some fun shots with the wedding party, Louise and Tom headed off around the grounds and corridors of the University, for some more photos. A quick stop off in the library for some light reading, before heading back to dance and party the night away. Please enjoy Louise and Tom's story as the day unfolds. Deb and Al are two of the nicest people you will ever meet, they laugh so much it's great, and they are so in love. When I first met up with them they had such a chemistry together, I knew the wedding day would be so much fun. They didn't want too much fuss when it came to photos, just a record of the day so that suited me down to the ground.
Deb was so excited leading up to the day that she posted a daily photo of a "days to go till we become Mr & Mrs Ginnelly" chalkboard. How lovely is that? Deb and Al's ceremony was in the amazing Powis hall in the main arts building in Bangor university. Such a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Afterwards there were drinks in the quad and some group photos before guests headed over to the Management Centre where the reception was being held. Deb and Al stayed back for a while for a few photos of themselves around the grounds of the beautiful building before heading over to join the other guests. And we couldn't have asked for better weather either. The management centre has an amazing tiered lawn out the back so everyone was outside a lot of the time just relaxing and drinking. After food everyone headed downstairs again where there was a treat in store for Al. Deb had organised "Trio Canig", a Welsh vocal trio to performed a lovely collection of songs for him. A complete surprise and it showed all over his face. It was then back outside for some wedding party shots and a couple more of Deb and Al before the evening party commenced. What an amazing day surrounded by amazing people. Congratulations to Sioned and Guto who were married in Llangefni and then went on to Bangor University for the reception. And what a fantastic day it was. Despite the rain in the morning it held off the for the rest off the day and after a lovely service in the wonderful Moreia chapel in Llangefni, we headed off to Menai Bridge for a few pics along the Belgian promenade and under bridge itself. It was then off to Bangor University for some group photos and the wedding breakfast. Super funny speeches were followed by a few more photographs in and around the Uni before the real party started. After a lovely first dance everyone joined in to dance the night away. Please enjoy this collection of photos as the day unfolds. Once again, a huge congratulations to Sioned and Guto. What a wonderful day it was. Please feel free to share this blog with anyone and also feel free to leave them a lovely message in the comments box below. :)
Ellen & Adam got married in the beautiful Bangor University main arts building and what a lovely day it was. It was warm and sunny and just perfect for a wedding. I headed over to the management center to find Ellen who was getting ready there, she was getting ready with her bridesmaid and mum and a few other close friends, everyone was in a great mood, I spent a little while there getting shots before heading off quickly to see the boys, they were getting ready at home a short drive away. The boys were in great spirits , Adam was a little nervous as can be expected but he wasn't showing it at all. A few photos later and it was back to Ellen who was getting in her dress and doing last minute touch ups. It was then off over the road to the university building for the main event. Lots of laughter and plenty of smiles were on show as guests arrived. A now very nervous Adam awaited his bride to be. They both had a lovely ceremony in what can only be described as an Amazing room, the Powis hall with its grand fresco and high ceiling. A short while later it was out into the quad for drinks and congratulations. After some group shots Ellen and Adam then went for a walk around the grounds of the Uni stopping now and again for a few shots before they all sat down for the wedding breakfast, this was followed by the speeches and then there was some time to relax before the evening party got under way. I took this opportunity to take Ellen and Adam for a few photos around the inside of the Uni this time, there are so many cool corridors and stairways to get shots, and we even had a quick trip to the library. It was then time for the evening party to start and it was kicked of with a beautiful first dance then quickly other guests joined in to dance the night away. What a great day. Please enjoy the day as it unfolds. Congratulations to Ellen & Adam, wishing you both the best for the future. If you feel like I did a great job then please click on the link below and take a few minutes to vote for me. Congratulations to Wenna & Malcolm who were married in Glanrhyd chapel in Dinas near Caernarfon and then went on to the Reichel hall in Bangor university for their reception. I arrived at Wennas' house in bright sunshine, this was going to be a good day. Everyone was in good spirits and had just started having makeup and hair done as I got there, so perfect timing to get some prep shots done. After a while I headed off down the road to see the boys, who were also very relaxed whilst getting ready and there was plenty of banter going on. After leaving the boys I headed off back to the girls to capture the last of the preparation and Wenna getting into her dress. It was then off to the chapel but as I stepped out of the house it started raining, not great but it was only promising showers so fingers crossed. The weather held off just enough not to hinder the arrival of Wenna in a beautiful old campervan. A wonderful and entertaining ceremony held by Marcus had everyone in stitches. And as if by magic, Mr and Mrs Aindow stepped out of the chapel to glorious sunshine and headed off to Glynllifon for some photographs in the grounds of the lovely old house. It was then off to the Reichel hall in Bangor for the reception. After some group shots every settle into the wedding breakfast and a few drinks. We managed to have some fun a bit later on with some nice wedding party shots and Wenna & Malcolm had a nice little wander around the grounds for a few more photographs. It was then time to party and after a lovely first dance plenty of guests joined the happy couple on the dance floor and danced the night away. Once again, congratulations to Wenna & Malcolm, wishing you both the best for the future.

Congratulations to Sioned and Iolo who were married in Gwalchmai chapel and then went on to the Bangor university for their reception. I met up with the girls first while they were getting ready, while they lounged in their onesies everyone was in a great mood, nice and relaxed and lots of laughs were being shared. After a few photos I headed off to the boys and they were in fine form. Iolo's horse was being made ready outside while the boys were getting ready inside. It was then off to the chapel for a great ceremony which was very musical at times. From there we headed off to Bangor university, stopping briefly for a couple of photos in the Globe pub where Sioned and Iolo first met. Bangor University is a great backdrop for a wedding reception and there was lots of photo opportunities to be had. After some lovely food there was some very entertaining speeches and shortly after we headed outside again for a few wedding party shots before taking Sioned and Iolo off around the corridors and grounds of the university. The evening entertainment was kicked off with a beautiful first dance and then the band took over throwing out some great songs. Please enjoy this collection of the more informal shots from the day. Once again, congratulations to Sioned & Iolo. Wishing you all the best for the future. I hope you all enjoyed this collection of photos, A full edit will be available in the CLIENT AREA soon.
