Ela and Kevin get married for the second time...... let me explain. I met Ela and kevin last year after they had book me to get married, they mentioned a pre wedding shoot so we booked a day and was very surprised when they phoned me up and said they were actually getting married instead. It turns out that they had to be legally married to live together in the middle east where they were both working. So I photographed a lovely intimate winter wedding last December, only close family and friends and a small gathering at the family home. So come the end of May and it was time to do it all over again, but this time with all the trimmings. I headed to the house in Melin Y Coed where the girls were getting ready, the sun was shining and everyone was in a great mood, there was a hive of activity going on, so I set about clicking away. After a while I headed off to see the boys who were staying and getting ready in the Ffin Y Parc gallery, they were nice and relaxed and casually getting on with things. Ela and Kevin had decided to have some intimate photos before the ceremony so we headed off up to a family friends farm to get some shots, the meadows were full of long grass and we had a lovely walk around the fields and farm yard in the sunshine. It was then time to head to the chapel for the ceremony. Anyone watching would never had known they were getting married again and I think some people didn't. The beautiful service was capped off with 2 renditions of Calon Lan, maybe the reverend thought they needed the practice. After many congratulations and some confetti it was off in a lovely campervan for a couple more shots near the family home then off to the reception at the Hay Loft at the Bodnant welsh food centre. Lots of fun and games awaited the guests and everyone relaxed and enjoyed themselves in the sunshine before it was time to eat. After the food was done it was time for the speeches, lots of fun and laughter and a great slideshow from the best men. The party then got into full swing and Ela and Kevin had a lovely first dance and was joined on the dancefloor by lots of friends who danced the night away. Congratulations once again to Ela & Kevin, wishing you both all the best for the future. I hope you all enjoyed this collection of photos from the day, A full set can be seen in the CLIENT AREA. Congratulations to Magwen and Stephen who were married in the beautiful grounds of Bodnant garden and then went on to the reception at the Hay loft restaurant near Tal Y Cafn. We Started of with a few preparation shots, as always there is plenty going on and emotions were running high. Then it was off to the stunning gardens at Bodnant and the walk down through the flora and fauna to the Pin mill was long but amazing, a totally different walk down the isle. Rain had been forecast all day but luck was on our side. The heavens opened just as Magwen arrived but after a lovely outdoor ceremony under the shelter of the stone arches of the Pin mill the sun came out and everyone enjoyed drinks by the pond. We took some more photos as Magwen and Stephen took a nice relaxing walk back up through this stunning location. Then it was off to the Hay loft in the camper van for the reception. Jazz music and a relaxed atmosphere was in order while a few more photographs were taken then everyone sat down for some entertaining speeches before food and when everyone was full, Magwen and Stephen cut the cake and danced the night away. Congratulations once again to Magwen and Stephen, wishing you both all the best for the future. As always, thank you to Geraint for the opportunity to shoot with you. More images from this wedding can be seen on his BLOG.
