What an absolutely gorgeous couple Alaina and David are, in fact, the first time I spoke to Alaina we had such a lovely conversation on the phone, we talked for so long, it was as if we had known each other for ages. I knew then I really had to photograph their wedding.
They both live in London but had fallen in love with Nant Gwrtheyrn, they knew that was where they were going to get married, all they had asked for was sunshine. So one very Sunny but cold morning in January, that is exactly what they did. Nant Gwrtheyrn is such a lovely place, a former quarrying village, it lies hidden away in a deep valley near the sea. I hadn't photographed here for a while so it was nice to be back. I love the atmosphere when you are down in the village, it feels so secluded from the outside world, surrounded by mountains. one very steep road in and out. Some of the guests had mentioned that they had arrived in the dark, I can just imagine what it was like seeing the place for the first time. There are so many lovely places to photograph around the village and you might even get a beautiful sunset if you are lucky. What a fantastic day with amazing people. So much emotion, laughter and all round fun all mixed in with some beautiful light made this day such a joy to photograph. Please scroll down and enjoy the day as it unfolds.

Congratulations to Dyfan and Einir who were married in Llandwrog church and then went on to Nant Gwrtheyrn for the reception. The sun was shining and people were smiling and laughing when I turned up at Einir's parents house to do the preparation shots. This is always a good sign and I knew the day was going to be a good one. After some great photos it was off to the church to meet up with the lads and await the bride. After a beautiful ceremony we headed down to Dinas Dinlle for some photos of the bride and groom on the beach, trying to avoid the crowds was the mission for the next 30mins or so. It was then off to Nant Gwrtheyrn for the wedding breakfast. After some entertaining speeches we all headed outside for a few group shots and Dyfan and Einir had a little break with a walk around the grounds of the village. The evening entertainment was kicked off with a ceilidh dance to get everyone in the dancing spirit and after a great first dance, the dance floor filled up nicely to the sounds of the band. Please enjoy a small collection of the more informal shots from the day. Once again, congratulations to Dyfan and Einir. Wishing you both all the best for the future. I hope you enjoyed this collection of photos, A full edit will be available in the CLIENT AREA shortly.
This was a slightly different wedding shoot than normal and one I had not done before. Dylan & Sian had already been married in Florida a couple of weeks earlier and all they wanted were some formal family shots and some informal candid's and a couple of shots of themselves around Nant Gwrtheyrn. The sun was shining when I arrived and the good weather lasted all evening and we were rewarded to a fabulous sunset. It was a very relaxed affair and there was no need to rush to get shots done before food like a normal wedding usually entails. After the family shots Dylan & Sian had a nice walk around the grounds of Nant Gwrtheyrn to get a few nice photographs and as the sun started setting a few more shots on the balcony just had to be done. Congratulations to Dylan & Sian, here are a few of the more informal shots. I hope you enjoy them. A full edit will be available in the CLIENT AREA in due course.
Congratulations to Pete & Michelle who were married in the beautiful hidden village of Nant Gwrtheyrn on the Lleyn peninsular. Bright sunshine basked the village first thing but I knew it was not to last, Rain was forecast but I did not let this put me off as I knew good weather later on was on the cards. After a few preparation shots with the lads and then the girls it was to the church. After a beautiful and emotional ceremony the weather had dampened so it was off for drinks instead. As the weather cleared Pete and Michelle had some photographs around the grounds before the wedding breakfast. After some very entertaining speeches we finished off some group shots and the boys being boys decided to play. As the sun started to retreat we went down to the beach for a few more shots by the sea before the evening entertainment was kicked of by the band and dancing went on well into the night. Please enjoy a small collection of informal shots from the day. Once again a huge congratulations to Pete & Michelle, wishing them both all the best for the future.
If you think dave Willis photography would fit into your day then please get in touch. Congratulations to Dafydd and Heledd who were married in the beautiful hidden valley of Nant Gwrtheyrn. Despite rain the day before and the day after, the weather was amazing. Blue skies and bright sunshine all day and a nice sunset to top it off. To say the day was uneventful is an understatement. Ten minutes before the ceremony was due to start, half the guest's were missing. Unbelievably long traffic queue's due to the Eisteddfod meant a delay. One hour later and still no minister so a big thanks to Guto Roberts for stepping in and performing a flawless ceremony. The rest of the day went to plan and an amazing day was had by all.
