What an absolutely great day photographing Llio and Jay's wedding. They got married in Trearddur Bay earlier this year and had their reception at the Trearddur bay Hotel. I started the day with the girls, everyone was nice and relaxed, I had a lovely time photographing them getting ready. I then met up with the boys at the church in Trearddur bay, as always, Jay was nice and chilled, all ready for the arrival of his bride to be. After a wonderful ceremony and a few quick photos outside due a heavy rain shower, we all headed over to the Trearddur Bay Hotel for the reception. The sun gods were on my side and after the showers had passed we headed out again for some more photographs. Sometimes you just get lucky with the weather and this was a day when it all just fell together. Despite a few heavy rain showers throughout the day we managed to get all the outside shots done. As a photographer I have a good idea of what my couples want and always do my best to get it, so despite heavy clouds and the impending rain shower, we took the risk, and after the speeches we headed out for a walk along the beach. I could see the concern on the couples face regarding the aproaching rain storm, but Llio and Jay trusted me to get the shots done, without them getting a massive soaking. Two minutes after getting back it absolutely hammered it down. Dodged a bullet right there, but sometimes you just have to take a risk to get the best shots for your couple. I left the happy couple dancing the night away with friends and family. Please scroll down to see the day as it unfolds. If you are planning your big day, liked the way I photographed this wedding and think I would fit into your plans then please get in touch.

Jessica and Sion are cool, what more can you say. They are so much fun to be around and their wedding day was no exception. And what a day it was. I had so much fun shooting this wedding that I really didn't want to leave. I met up with Jessica and the girls at her parents house where they were all having hair and makeup done, everyone was in such a fun mood and really looking forward to the day. I payed a quick visit to the boys who were getting ready not far down the road and then a few last shots with the girls before they all headed for the church in Trearddur bay. It was a little misty and damp as everyone arrived, but so many smiles show that even a bit of rain doesn't spoil a good wedding. After a wonderful service we headed for the beach for a few photos, It was still a bit misty but by the time we had finished it was clearing nicely so it was off to the venue. Jessica and Sion were having the reception in a boathouse on the inland sea. I had visited it a couple of days before and it was just an empty shell, what a difference. So much effort was made to transform it into a wonderful setting for the reception. The sun was well and truly out by now and after some more group shots everyone sat down for food. After some very emotional speeches, we headed back out for some fun with the wedding party before Jessica and Sion went for a lovely walk to get some photos of just themselves. It was then back to dance the night away. What a superb day with fantastic people. Please enjoy this collection of photos from the day and feel free to leave the happy couple a lovely message in the comments box. I hope you all like this collection of photos from the day. Congratulations to Anna and Dylan who got married in Capel Bethasda in Cemaes and then went on to the Trearddur bay hotel for the reception. I had already photographed Anna and dylan when they booked me for a pre wedding shoot, we went to a local beach in the evening and got some cracking shots, so they both knew what to expect on the wedding day. I arrived nice and early at the girls house where Anna and co were having hair and make up done, the weather was ok for now, the forecast had said rain most of the day and I was preparing for another wet wedding, way too many this year for my liking. But everyone was in a great mood and there was plenty of laughing even though Anna was definitely nervous. A few shots here then I nipped off to get a few shots of Dylan and the boys getting ready then it was back to the girls for a short while until it was time to head off to the chapel. Having arrived in style in a lovely campervan, Anna made her way down the aisle and her and Dylan had a lovely and slightly emotional ceremony with plenty of laughter too. The weather held off also so we could get some family group shots done, Dylan's face was a picture with the sight of a brand new tractor outside, we just had to get a few photos with it. Then it was off to Trearddur bay, stopping off at Ravens point for a few shots of just the happy couple. The weather was still holding off with plenty of time to get the rest of the group shots done, after that Anna, Dylan and all the guests headed off for the wedding breakfast, followed by some great but emotional speeches and a best man who was lost for words. It was then time for ice cream with the arrival of Mrs Frosty the ice cream lady, pudding was served. yum yum. The evening entertainment was kicked off with a lovely first dance and people just had to join in on the dance floor to party the night away. Congratulations once again to Anna and Dylan, wishing you both the best for the future.

If you liked what I did then please click on the image below Congratulations to Hayley and Owen who were married in the lovely St. Cyngars church in Llangefni and then went on to the Trearddur Bay hotel for the reception. I met up with the girls who were having hair and make up done in the salon, everyone was in a great mood, the sun was shining and promising to be nice all day so I suspect that helped things along greatly. I spent a while getting shots of everything that was going on, lots of laughing and smiling and not a sign of any nervousness showing at all. After I left the ladies too it I headed off to see the lads, they were getting ready at Owens parents home and just like the girls, no nerves showing so I knew it was going to be a very relaxed day. A quick trip back to Hayley to get into her dress and then it was off to the church. Plenty of smiles all round as Owen and plenty of guests waited for the bride to arrive. Hayleys' perfect timing led to a wonderful ceremony and before we knew it we were all back out in the sunshine again. After some group shots it was off to the Trearddur Bay hotel for the reception. After everyone had food it was time for the speeches, lots of laughter and a few emotions were on display and the groom got off lightly from the best man. As the sun started to get lower in the sky we headed out to the beach to get some shots of the wedding party and then Owen and Hayley headed of for a nice walk in the evening sun along the beach. Not wanting to miss out on the lovely calm sea, a little paddle was in order. It was then time for the dancing shoes to come on and after a beautiful first dance everyone joined in danced the night away. Once again, congratulations to Owen and Hayley, wishing you all the best the the future.

Congratulations to Amanda and Andy who were married at St. Cybi's church in Holyhead and then went on to the Trearddur Bay hotel for the reception. I first had the opportunity to photograph Amanda and Andy in Birmingham 4 weeks earlier for a pre wedding shoot, the weather was great and we had a lovely few hours in the local park, they both got an idea of how I work and also I got to know them in front of the camera. So when it came to the big day we were not so lucky with the weather, strong wind and lots of rain. Not ideal conditions for a wedding but the spirits were not dampened all day. I met up with the boys while they were having breakfast, everyone was in a great mood, not worrying about the weather and really chilled. I got a few shots and then left them to it. I then went off to meet up with the girls while they were getting ready. Amanda and the rest of the girls were nice and relaxed and just having a great time slowly getting ready. It was then off to the lovely St. Cybi's church in Holyhead. The weather still hadn't lifted as guests arrived but they all had a smile, A sign of a good day to come. After a beautiful ceremony I managed to get some shots outside before it was off to the Trearddur Bay hotel for the reception. Being by the coast, it was getting the brunt of the weather so a little improvisation was called for when it came to the group shots. This meant using the heated pool room, being warm and out of the wind and rain which kept all the guests happy and I managed to get a few shots of the happy couple too before everyone settled down for the wedding breakfast. After food the speeches were broken out and laughter continued into the evening where Amanda and Andy went on to dance the night away with friends and family. Overall a challenging day with lots of improvisation to get the best out of the light but Amanda and Andy were amazing and didn't let the weather get in the way of a fantastic day. Wishing you both all the best for the future. Once again, wishing Amanda & Andy all the best for the future. I hope you all enjoyed this small collection of shots from the day, If you feel like leaving them some love please leave a comment below.

After meeting wendy and Matthew at the hotel nearly a year before the wedding they they wanted photos by the beach, not just in Trearddur bay but also in Penrhos country park near holyhead. So I was a bit downhearted on the day when I arrived at the hotel as it was raining, It was a bit gloomy and the forecast was all over the place as to whether it would be clear enough later on for photos outside. As I have always said, it can't rain all day and usually there is a chance to get out and get shots done. This was one of those days, and after a few hours the rain had cleared and the sun even showed itself for a while too. What a lovely day was had by all, after a lovely ceremony we all went out on the grass for group shots and then a few shots of the happy couple by the beach. Later on while the kids were being entertained by some magic we managed to get over to Penrhos country park for some more shots and even got the wedding party on the beach too. What a great day which was topped off by lots of laughter and dancing. Please have a look and enjoy this collection of photos from the day, feel free to leave the happy couple some lovely messages in the comment box at the bottom of the blog. Congratulations to Serena and Ian who were married in the Trearddur Bay hotel and also had there reception there. The weather had forecast rain in the morning so I was hopeful of a dry afternoon in which I could get the group shots done outside. By the time I had got to the hotel the rain had stopped and we didn't see a raindrop all day. I started by meeting up with Serena who was getting ready in the hotel to get some prep shots, Everyone was in a great mood and no nerves were showing. After a few shots I popped downstairs and met up with the lads for a couple of shots of them getting ready and then it was time for the big event. After a wonderful ceremony it was drinks on the lawn and a few group shots in the sunshine. Serena and Ian then popped across the road for a couple of shots on the rocks overlooking the bay. After everyone was full and some entertaining speeches we headed outside and once again to the beach for a couple more shots before heading back to meet the evening guests. After a lovely first dance there were a few games to kick off the evenings entertainment. Please enjoy this small collection of the more informal shots from the day. Once again, congratulations to Serena and Ian. Wishing you both all the best for the future. I hope you enjoyed this collection of photos, A full edit will be available in the CLIENT AREA shortly.
Congratulations to Annie and Steve who were married in the beautiful church of St. Cyngar's in Llangefni and then went on to a marquee reception at the Trearddur Bay hotel. Between two days of bad weather we were treated once again to blue skies and plenty of sunshine which helped to fuel a day full of tears of joy and plenty of laughter. After a beautiful ceremony the bride and groom headed to the beach in a VW camper van for some more photo's. Some emotional speeches and an "x-factor" worthy song which had the guest's in stitches kicked off a long evening of fun, laughter and dancing. Wishing Annie & Steve all the best for the future. A full set of images will follow shortly.
Many thanks once again to Andrea for being a willing second photographer. |
